Cinnaber Enterprise Edition, the latest generation of software for vets

Efficient and modern management software for each type of practice.

Houten, 6 October 2009 – Corilus announces that it will be launching Cinnaber Enterprise Edition, a new, advanced software package for vets, in the Netherlands. This user-friendly practice management system is a major advance in the area of workflow, protocol working and full integration with digital imaging. The new software will allow the vet to achieve higher profits and better quality with his existing practice infrastructure.

Cinnaber is a total solution for the modern vet and is suitable for all practice types: farm animals, pets and mixed practices. Cinnaber is not only suitable for one-man practices, but also for practices with several branches, either with their own individual infrastructure or in a hosted environment.

One of the great advantages of Cinnaber is its user friendliness: the interface is highly intuitive and the user will be able to find his way around immediately. The vet can also create a fully customized client file. Cinnaber makes it extremely easy to manage and update the profiles of the animals (vaccinations, reminders, medical reports, storing ECGs, X-rays etc.). An integrated order system with links to most wholesalers is also included, so that the vet can manage his stock of medicines direct in Cinnaber. In addition, he can integrate direct the results of his own analysis equipment and analyses which he receives from the laboratories. Finally, there is a link to VetCIS, the Veterinary Central Information System of VetBase.

With Cinnaber Mobile and a compact PDA or mobile PC the vet can now manage, view and code his data while out and about, and work just as efficiently as he would do in his practice.

Prof. Sarne De Vliegher of Ghent University switched over last year to Cinnaber and says: ‘Once we had decided to switch over to Cinnaber, Corilus worked out a step-by-step plan for us. The first big step was transferring the Vetsoft data to Cinnaber. Following this test conversion, our staff immediately received training with Cinnaber and had a few weeks in which to practice. It is important, of course, that the staff can work efficiently with the program before they make the actual switchover. Cinnaber is a forward-looking software package and contains all the functionalities to meet our needs. There are a few things we would like in the future, though. Thanks to our close cooperation with Corilus over the years, we are able to discuss these issues together and can exchange ideas.’

Dirk Van Lerberghe, CEO of Corilus, adds: ‘Cinnaber Enterprise Edition contains functionalities that already meet the future needs of vets and their procedures. We have focused attention on the medical (integrated digital imaging, protocol working) and the organizational and financial (workflow and detailed reports) aspects. We want customers to make the switchover because of the effective added value the software offers, and not simply because of its ‘Windows look’. And lastly, we are planning all kinds of new functionalities for the program. Our 60-man team at Corilus is working hard to achieve this.’
