Robert Peek (1945)
Robert Peek is a graduate of the Hogere Textielschool in
Enschede, the Nederlandse Economische Hogeschool in Rotterdam, and
of the Hochschule für Wirtschaft und Sozialwissenschaften in St.
Gallen, Switzerland. In 1973 he joined Organon International,
member of the pharmaceutical division of Akzo Nobel. Having held a
number of positions including Managing Director Organon Greece,
Organon Venezuela, and Regional Manager South America, he accepted
the post of Manager of Marketing Services responsible for global
marketing policy. In 1988 he switched to OPG Group N.V. whose
Executive Board he joined on 1 July 1989. Starting January 2001,
his responsibilities as Board Member covered all operational
activities of the group companies (COO), and on 1 March 2003 he
became Chairman of the Executive Board (CEO), the position he
filled until his retirement in late 2005.
Gerardus van Jeveren (1960): Chief Executive Officer
Gerardus van Jeveren is the Chief Executive Officer of Arseus. Mr. van Jeveren was the founder and main shareholder of Fagron Farmaceuticals BV, which was acquired by Omega Pharma in 2000. Before founding Fagron he held various sales and marketing positions, including commercial manager at Pharbita Generics, a subsidiary of Medicopharma NV. After Omega Pharma’s acquisition of Fagron, Mr. van Jeveren was appointed country manager of Omega Pharma, responsible for the Netherlands and Germany. In 2003 he was appointed Business Unit Manager of Fagron, responsible for the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Spain, and in 2006 he was appointed CEO of Arseus. He is a graduate of the teacher training college Zuid-West-Nederland in Delft.
Jan Peeters (1966): Chief Financial Officer
Jan Peeters is the Chief Financial Officer of Arseus. Mr. Peeters was appointed Omega Pharma’s Chief Financial Officer in 1993, after three years as a business analyst at Exxon Chemical International. Mr. Peeters was Omega Pharma’s CFO for eight years, a period that included the firm’s successful IPO. In 2001 Mr. Peeters was appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Omega Pharma, a position he held until 7 November 2006. In 2005 he was appointed Business Unit Manager of Omega’s dental division (now Arseus Dental) and given overall responsibility for Arseus’s split from Omega Pharma. In 2006 he was appointed CFO of Arseus. Mr. Peeters holds a Master’s degree in applied economics from Antwerp University and a postgraduate degree in management from Vlerick Management School.
Johannes Stols (1959)
Hans Stols has held various positions at the
Rijksaccountantsdienst, ABN-AMRO Bank N.V. and Stada Arzneimittel
AG. Until 2006 Mr. Stols was Chief Operational Officer and member
of the board of directors of Stada Arzneimittel AG and was founding
member of the board of many Stada subsidiaries. Mr. Stols also
provides consulting services to many corporations, including Stada
Arzneimittel AG and Goldman Sachs London (ad hoc) and has, among
other things, been chairman of the European Generic Medicine
Association, Vereniging Euro Specialite’s and Nederlandse Cystic
Fibrosis Stichting.
Couckinvest NV— Marc Coucke (1965)
Marc Coucke graduated as a pharmacist at Ghent University and
holds an MBA from Vlerick School for Management, Ghent. He is the
founder of Omega Pharma NV and, as permanent representative of
Couckinvest NV, CEO and director of Omega Pharma NV. Mr. Coucke was
Chief Executive Officer of Omega Pharma NV until 30 September 2006,
non-executive chairman until 11 March 2007 and again CEO and
director (but not chairman) of Omega Pharma NV. Mr. Coucke is
chairman of the board of Couckinvest NV.
Luc Vandewalle (1944)
Luc Vandewalle has a master’s degree in applied economics from
Ghent University. He was appointed director and member of the
management team of BBL in December 1992. From 1 January 2000 until
June 30th 2007 he was chairman of the board of managing directors
of the bank and since July 1st 2007 chairman of the board of ING
Belgium NV. Mr. Vandewalle is currently chairman of VZW CAW
Stimulans, chairman of the Streekfonds voor West Vlaanderen of the
Koning Boudewijn Foundation and chairman of VZW Waak (sheltered
workshop). Mr. Vandewalle is also a member of the boards of
directors of Befimmo SA/NV, Sea-Invest, Besix NV, Galloo, Transics
NV, N.V. Sioen, Pinguin-Lutosa and several other companies.
WPEF IV Holding Cooperatief WA - Frank Vlayen
Frank Vlayen is principal of and partner in Waterland Private
Equity NV (‘Waterland’). He is responsible for all Waterland
activities in Belgium and has market responsibility for a number of
specific target markets addressed by Waterland’s investment themes.
Before joining Waterland, he worked as engagement partner at
Accenture UK, where he advised utilities and industrial companies
on mergers and acquisitions and corporate strategy. Before that, he
was director of business development at Citigroup Consumer Banking
Europe and vice-president of Tractebel’s international energy
division. He started his career at Fortis Bank (at the time
Generale Bank) in corporate finance and trade finance. Frank Vlayen
has worked in Belgium, the United Kingdom, Central and Eastern
Europe and Hong Kong. He is a graduate of Vlerick Leuven Gent
Management School (MBA programme, magna cum laude) and the Catholic
University of Leuven (Business Engineering, cum laude).
Supplyco BV - Cedric Van Cauwenberghe
Cedric Van Cauwenberghe is investment director of Waterland
Private Equity NV in Belgium. Previously he was investment director
at Rendex Partners, a venture capital fund, where he was
responsible for its technology fund (Rendex ICT Fund). Before that,
he was head of business development at ChemResult NV, a business
software company, and co-founder and CFO of FastBidder NV, a
technology start-up. He started his career as a management
consultant with Roland Berger Strategy Consultants for their
Brussels, Frankfurt and Barcelona offices, focusing on corporate
strategy and organisational efficiency. Cedric graduated magna cum
laude in Business Engineering at the Free University of Brussels.
Enhold NV - Socius BVBA - Marcel Colla
Marcel Colla was a minister in the Belgian federal government
from 1988 to 1999, with consecutive responsibility for science
policy, telecommunications, pensions and public health. He is a
former member and senator of the Belgian parliament from 1979 to
1999. He was Professor of Sociology at the University of Antwerp
from 1970 to 1978.
